Styles Perfect For Your Body Type

Are you curious to know what your body type is or what kind of body shape category you fall under? Well check this out you wouldn't believe how many women are purchasing clothing that either adds or take away from their image? Surprisingly 97% percent of women have at least one part of their body that they hate according to Glamour Survey. That's insane! Often times that leads to women dressing their body with poorly fit clothes.  Are you someone that loves shopping but the moment you get into the fitting room you hate it? You just saw the most stunning dress, the moment your eyes caught it you grabbed it off the hanger and headed into the fitting room to try it on and was absolutely shock on how it appeared on you.    Now you're looking in the mirror and yelling "ARE YOU SERIOUS!" Hey it happens but it doesn't mean something is wrong with your body it just means that the dress had a certain cut or detail that didn't complement your body type. So let'...

What Does Your Style Express About You

In today's world there is a high expectation of how women should look. You see it all over television, the magazines, the runway, etc. and that's okay.  But there are certain styles that we as women should avoid such as extra revealed cleavage, or clothing that reveal certain areas of our body, etc. "The more revealing the more appealing" they would say and that shouldn't be. A woman can be appealing without revealing every part of her body and we as women need to stand  firm on that and set an example for the generation to come.  Ladies don't ever feel like you have to lower your image standards to please society or to please a man. What you wear and how your carry yourself displays to people what you stand for and tells people a lot about you without you opening your mouth. Always keep in mind when you're getting dressed, "what does my outfit or my style express about me"?

Another helpful tip to keep in mind ladies if you want to appear younger, avoid wearing clothing that adds age to you or drags you down. Some women feel like they have to wear what their 19 year old daughter is wearing to appear younger and trendier but believe it or not it makes them look more older than their actual age. So my advice is to wear youthful styles that are age appropriate and trendy. Clothing stores that I would highly recommend for women in their late 30's or early 50's is Rosewe, Ann Taylor, Zara, just to name a few.

Styles of the past: Fashion inspirations like Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Marlene Dietrich were women who dressed with class and sophistication while still remaining feminine. Not only that, they represented their role perfectly with what they chose to wear. As a mother you want to know that you're setting a good example for your children. If you have son's you want your sons to learn about a woman's heart and not her body parts, if you have daughters you want to show your daughters that they can still be beautiful without showing off too much of what they have been blessed with. As a wife you want your husband to feel confident that his wife is a woman of integrity. Believe it or not men have more respect for women who carry themselves with dignity and respect. Some women have beautiful hearts and are seeking to get married to the right guy, but the right guy can never come their way, because they're attracting the wrong guys with their way of dressing. While this may not be an intentional thing for some women in some cases, it's not something to take lightly either.

I remember I had a friend, she was really sweet, she had a good heart and a amazing personality but one thing was missing. That #1 thing that was missing to complete the package was that she didn't really know herself worth and she didn't really know how beautiful she was. Her image portrayed something completely different from who she truly was. She would often beat up herself or admire how other women dressed and wished she could even look as half as good as them.

So I'm there just shaking my head thinking to myself if only she could see what I was seeing. I wanted her to realize that she can look just as good as those women that she admired without loosing her identity. One day I took it upon myself to help her with her wardrobe and give her a few helpful styling tips on how to look her best and what types of clothing she should avoid. After that she was never the same and she felt better about herself. The question that I ask is what does your style say about you and what would you like it to say about you if it's saying something differently? Whether you're a business owner, a lawyer, a mother, a newly wed, or the first lady as a woman you should be setting an example for other women around you, your children, your community, your co-workers, etc. We are living in a falling world and it's time for the women of today to not only do a great work, but to also look their best doing it. You never know who is watching you from a far or who you may be inspiring.

My goal as a christian wardrobe stylist is to help you look and feel your best. I can help you discover the best style that will suit you for every occasion and transition of your life.
