Beauty comes in all shape and form. Beauty is described in many ways and is defined differently by people. Often times women compare themselves to other women whom they admire or may think that are beautiful and there's nothing wrong with that. But there is something wrong with a women constantly insulting or putting herself down because she may not have a certain feature, style, charisma, swag, whatever it maybe that the woman she admire has. That's something you want to avoid at all possible cost. In todays post I want to discuss the importance of loving yourself the way you are and recognizing the part of "YOU" that makes you beautiful.
After working in the fashion industry for so many years the most common thing I see a woman do when she first looks in the mirror after she's tried on a dress, a pair of jeans, or a hat is she begins to critique herself. From head to toe she looks at what she has on and then begin to complain about her stomach is too big, or she needs to loose weight, or she wished she looked like this, and the list goes on. So there I am standing wondering to myself "I wish she knew that there is nothing wrong with her and it's all in her mind". It's okay to have a healthy expectation of your self image but at the sametime it's good to also appreciate and notice those features that defines your true beauty.
What features or characteristics can you find or discover about yourself that you love the most and can be confident about? A woman's beauty could be defined by her smile, a radiant smile can really brighten up someone's day for other women it's their hair, for some it's their down to earth personality. So if you recognize you have a beatiful smile then you should consider smiling more and showing off those pretty perks.
If your hair is what makes you feel your most confident and beautiful then take pride in it by taking good care of it, style it, brush it, trim it and make sure it's well groomed. If your amazing personality comes to mind when you think about what makes you beautiful, then I would say never change, because true beauty comes from within. Or maybe your eyes is your most favorite feature of your face and your eyes tell a story whenever people look into them. Whatever it may be that you love about yourself always keep it in mind whenever you are about to nit pick on your self. Don't care about what the world has to say because the world will always have it's opinon. By walking with confidence and your head up high your sending a message without opening your mouth. A message that says that you love yourself and you know you're gorgeous!
Every single one of us as women have a certain thing about ourselves that we are insecure about, but also every single one of us as women has a certain thing that makes us appealing as individuals. Each day you wake up look into the mirror and tell yourself that you're beautiful and put on your finest outfit from your closet that's make you feel empowered whenever you where it. Look and feel your best each day, and know that you're wonderfully made!
